WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY

Created in the 1960s, Metro has been offering fast, convenient and cost effective commuter transportation to Washington, Maryland and Virginia riders since 1976. There are approximately 106 miles of track and about 86 stations.
